AND BEFORE TO PROCEED ON THIS TROUBLESHOOTING BE SURE TO DISCHARGE STATIC ELECTRICITY OF YOUR BODY. USE THE PROPER PROCEDURE FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR OWN AND TO YOUR COMPUTER.

STEP 1: READ THE MOTHERBOARD USER MANUALS- Every part or component of the computer each has a computer manual. Read it and try to check if there are wrong in installation the parts.

Computer USER Manuals

STEP 2: CHECK THE 4 OR 8 PIN OF POWER CONNECTOR OF PSU TO THE MOTHERBOARD- Check if this power connector is properly connected to the 4 pins or 8 pin power connector of the motherboard. If this power connector is not connected or not, the computer has no display.

STEP 3: CHECK THE STANDOFF YOU INSTALLED IN CPU CASE- Check the stand of you installed in CPU case where the motherboard is being attached or screwed. If this was not installed or not installed properly this will shortage the motherboard to the metallic part of the CPU case.

Check Standoff of System Case

STEP 4: CHECK YOUR VIDEO CARD IS PROPERLY INSERTED ON THE VGA SLOT- Sometimes during the assemble of parts inside the system case like the video card is not properly seated on the VGA slot. Check also if your VGA slot is compatible with your video card.

Check VGA Card Proper Installation

STEP 5: CHECK IF THERE ARE POWER CONNECTOR ON YOUR VIDEO CARD- Some of the video card like the high end or high capacity VGA, it has a power connector need to connect.

STEP 6: TRY TO BOOT OR POWER ON WITH 1 STICK OF RAM- Try to test the RAM one by one if you're using more than one RAM individually in the RAM slot. There are RAM Settings, timings, and voltage of the manufacturer's specs settings using the BIOS system. You should enable the XMP profile or set it manually. Set to it also your mobo support XMP profile. This is the best way to get your RAM running on normal.

TEST RAM ONE BY ONE

STEP 7: SET TO IT THAT YOUR RAM IS PROPERLY INSERTED IN RAM SLOTS- A common error that will occur also, the RAM is not properly inserted that will cause to no display or burn one of the transistor components of VRM (Voltage Regulator Modules)

Check the RAM Proper Installation
STEP 8: CHECK IF YOU'RE ARE USING THE CORRECT RAM ACCORDING TO THE MOTHERBOARD SPECS- Check if you're compatibility between you're motherboard and RAM is compatible. If these components are not compatible with each other it will cause to not display or may damage the memory slots. Some motherboards use single, dual, triple, or quad-channel applications. This is depending on the manufactures of how many numbers of channels for memory sticks.

STEP 9: CHECK IF YOU INSTALL THE PROCESSOR INCORRECT ORIENTATION USING THE PROCESSOR SOCKET- Zero insertion force socket is the socket where the processor is inserted correctly. It is can't be fixed if the orientation is not correct. This will cause to bent or damage the processor pin. If that is an AMD processor and to the mother CPU socket if you're using the Intel processor.
PROCESSOR SOCKET AND PROCESSOR ORIENTATION

STEP 10: CHECK IF THERE ARE BENT PINS OF THE IF AMD PROCESSOR OR ON THE MOTHERBOARD IF YOU'RE USING INTEL PROCESSOR- Check also if there are bent pins on your motherboard CPU socket or in your AMD processor. This will happen if you're inserted the processor in wrong orientations.

Thermal Pasting of Processor

STEP 12: CHECK IF YOUR CPU COOLING FAN IS PROPERLY CONNECTED TO THE POWER CONNECTOR- If your CPU cooling fan is not rotating on the exact rotation this will cause also to not function normally of the processor. And may the cause of no display because of too much heat suffer by your processor. And may the other components affected like the VGA card or the onboard VGA chipset.

And check also if you're using Intel processor check whether the CPU cooling fan is correctly snapped the 4 push-pins securely into the hole. It's very important that the processor and the heatsink of the cooling fan are pasting securely to dump the heat of the processor to the cooling fan.

STEP 12: CHECK IF THE FRONT PANEL CONNECTORS ARE CORRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE MOTHERBOARD F-PANEL CONNECTOR- Front panel connectors of the system case are the power switch, reset, HDD light indicator, power light indicator, and USB port connectors. Check if these connectors are correctly connected.
System Case Front Panel Connector

MOTHERBOARD FRONT PANEL CONNECTOR

STEP 13: TRY TO RESET THE CMOS- Sometimes resetting the CMOS/BIOS will solve the problem. There are procedures written on the manufacturer's manual of the motherboard. This is called BIOS Hard Reset Procedure.

CLEAR CMOS

STEP 14: TRY TO USE THE ONBOARD VGA DURING TROUBLESHOOTING- Sometimes HDMI and DVI not functioning if the motherboard drivers are not installed.

STEP 15: BE SURE THERE ARE NO SCREWS AND OTHER METALLIC PART THAT WILL CAUSE TO SHORTAGE THE VOLTAGE- Sometimes during installing parts of the system Unit, we leave screws and other metallic parts inside. Also, make sure that all cables and wires have no exposed copper wire that may cause the voltage shortage. Also away all cables and wires on the moving parts like the cooling fan.

STEP 16: EVERY MOTHERBOARD HAVE A BEEP CODES FOR ERROR LIKE THE NO DISPLAY- The system of the motherboard has a beep code through the system speaker connected to the front panel connector of the motherboard. Check if you installed this buzzer or system speaker. Check your user manual about the beep code error.

STEP 17: BE AWARE OF THE PSU (POWER SUPPLY UNIT THAT HAS A POWER SWITCH AT THE BACK- Maybe you wonder why the front panel switch of your system case not functioning. This is because of the power switch of the PSU not turning on.

Also if your PSU has a problem with the components inside, this may also contribute to the problem of your computer. It must better you have other PSU for testing purposes.

You can check the voltage output of your PSU like the +3.3v, +12v, +5v, -3.3, -12v, -5v. You need to use a voltmeter or PSU tester to check this voltage including voltage tolerance.

Doing troubleshooting on a brand new PC is not easy this will involve your money. Any damage caused by your own mistakes is not easy to accept. Building PC is required a good knowledge of PC Assembly and knowledge of computer hardware or parts. Doing PC assembly without enough knowledge on both PC troubleshooting may cause damage to the hardware of the computer you're assembled. It's better to learn first before doing so.

That's all if you have comments or questions regarding this post kindly write it down in the comment section of this post.
