If you're using the computer browser's like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge (IE), or in Firefox that you can't open the site you wanted to open, then you will see the display of the browser called "This site can't provide a secure connection" and then on the below portion you will notice also the ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR, then you're not alone in this error. Many internet users suffers of this error that commonly due to the error of the domain url of a site.




Try to consider the below procedures that may fix this browser error and to ride out of your worries to solve this problem.

REMEDY 1: TRY TO ACCESS THE SAME SITE IN DIFFERENT BROWSER YOU HAVE IN YOUR COMPUTER

If this is the first encounter of this error in your browser, try to close your browser and clear your browser's history. And open again the site you wanted to open. 

You can try also to open the site in different browsers that you have or install other browsers on your computer. If same problem reported of the different browsers, this means that the site have problems of its protocol, commonly of its SSL or Transport Layer Security of the site server side.

If only the Firefox or IE reported an error, this means that your browser having a serious problem. You can reinstall your browser again and try to open your site again.

REMEDY 2: USE HTTP OR HTTPS, SOME SITES USES EITHER OF THIS TWO URL

Even me before I was not configured my blog url to https, I encountered this trouble during I open my site in Google Chrome, even in Internet Explorer and Firefox. Same error was reported during opening and login. So try to open the site by changing the first the http, to https or https to http.

REMEDY 3: TRY TO UPDATE YOUR BROWSER'S VERSION

You can update your browser's versions, if your browsers having a low version, this may cause problems during the opening of a site. Like Google Chrome, you can automatically updates its version by clicking 3 dots menu at the top right side>point to help>then click the About Google Chrome. 

REMEDY 4: TRY TO CONTACT THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT OF THAT SITE

Every legitimate site has a technical support, if you can't the problem or you did the above remedies, you can contact the site administrator or the technical support of that site. Commonly they will reply to you after 24 hours. So you need an email address during you submit your site problem. 

CONCLUSION:

SSL or Secure Sockets Layer is a new Transport Layer Security of a site domain. There are many technical error that need to be fix before a site can configure normally to a new HTTPS domain structure. Sometimes there are troubles that will happen, and this may encountered by internet users that will open a site that cause an error of  "This Site Can't Provide A Secure Connection".
