Change Download Destination of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox Browsers

One of the common use of the internet browser is to download files came from the internet sites. The word “download” is to get certain files that came from a site down to your computer drive. And the default download drive destination is the My Documents folder that commonly seen on the Desktop of your computer in all windows versions. This default destination is to download files is located in the drive c: partition. Which is the partition or a stationary drive of the Operating System. This drive is intended only for the files and folders of the operating system. And basically, all the program files are stored in one of the folders of the operating system called Programs. This drive could be filled with files and data or no space available or virtual memory full. If all the data, files including internet files(pictures or movie), stored in this location. And this drive also is the center of the virus infiltration that can harm your download files. Or else your download files carried virus files. But basically, you need to update your virus scanner to avoid serious damage caused by this virus. But on the other hand, full storage of drive can cause damage. Or corrupt programs manage by your operating system. And one of the causes of full drive storage is your downloaded files came from an internet site.

You can avoid this problem with your computer by upgrading your hard disk drive(HDD). But to upgrade a drive you need to backup your important files. And priority the first partition that has a big capacity. Assuming that your computer has a big capacity of bytes, such as 500GB. This task to upgrade your HDD is complex work. And need an expert of computer skills and time-consuming. But before this, and if you wanted to do the best management of your computer files. And downloaded files you can change the destination using your Chrome Browser or Mozilla Firefox.

USING YOUR GOOGLE CHROME OR CHROME BROWSER
  1. Open your Google Chrome browser using the desktop of your computer.
  2. Once it opens click the settings button top right side of your Chrome browser, same as Firefox, see it.
  3. Under the drop-down menu list, click the settings menu.
  4. And under the list of options just click the “show advance settings” link(Use the scroll bar if needed to see the link).
  5. Find the option name called “download”.
  6. Then click the change button.
  7. A browse folder windows will display, use the scroll bar of it to find the plus box called “My Computer” then click it.
  8. Then click the drive you want to save your download files as your new destination drive.
  9. Then click the “OK” button.
USING YOUR MOZILLA FIREFOX or FIREFOX BROWSER
  1. Open your Mozilla Firefox using the desktop of your computer.
  2. Once it opens click the settings button top right side of your Mozilla Firefox.
  3. Under in the drop-down menu list, click the gear icon called “Options”
  4. An options windows will display, click the browse button under the General menu.
  5. A browse for folder window will display.
  6. Find the folder called “My Computer” using the scroll bar.
  7. Just click the plus box + of it.
  8. Now find and click the drive d:
  9. Then click the “OK” button.
Be sure to make a folder of your download files in order to easily find your files under the drive d:. And to avoid scattering the files under your backup drive. Be sure to delete your unused download files to avoid excessive files on your drives. “End”
